New Wheels And Tires Are On

Today was the day. I went and got my new tires installed today. It took them about 5 hours because of the lift kit. I wasn’t sure how they would look but now that they’re on, I can say that I am extremely satisfied with the results.  The PROCOMP tires look good on the MOTO METAL’s I picked. The tires are 305/65R17 which are basically 33″ tires. The original factory tires were about 31″ so it wasn’t that big of a difference. The biggest change was the width of the tires. The factory tires were about 7-9 inches wide and the new tires are about 12″ wide. Here are some pictures incase you thought about using this combo. Still Waiting For My Tires

I had to call several times last week and I still didn’t get a specific date for my tires to arrive. Today, they said they would have them on Wednesday so they went ahead and scheduled me for Saturday.

New Set Of Wheels

I’ve been putting it off for a while but it was time for me to get new tires on my truck so I went to 4WHEELPARTS. They had some special promotion going on today. After asking a bunch of questions, I ended up buying a set of tires & wheels today. I went with 17″ MOTO METAL M0951 gloss black wheels and the new PRO COMP Extreme MT’s. I went with bigger than stock tires so I also had to get a 3″ leveling kit. The only drawback, they didn’t have anything I wanted in store so I have to wait. I guess I’ll call back on monday.

Gorman (The Baja Test Run)

We went to Gorman today as a test run for the Baja trip. It was great! We all had a blast. We got there about 7:30am and didn’t leave until after 5:30pm. Needless to say, we were all beat by the end of the day. I did most of my riding in the buggies both as a passenger and as a driver. There were bikes there but I was haveing too much fun driving “The Cadillac“. That’s what we were calling the 4 seat buggy since the ride was so smooth. We put those buggies to the test. We put some serious miles on them on some of the hardest terrian there was. I’ve posted some pictures of the rides so please enjoy. I’m currently editing the video so I’ll post them as I complete them.
